I’m Drew. Art and conversation are my expression. I speak the language of music and words through piano, guitar, percussion, writing, and dialogue. I have a passion for Scripture, not because it is great in and of itself, but because I believe it is a window which allows me to see who God is. I believe it is from God and that it is alive and relevant. My purpose is to express God in all of life.
The purpose of this website is for me to write. I love writing. A friend of mine told me that I should write a book because she likes the ideas that I have and the gift God has given me with words. As encouraging as that is—books are lengthy, mammoth things. Honestly, books overwhelm me. I write a lot, but it is always a short statement or thought, nothing long or drawn out. So, I have found that a blog is one of the best places for me to publish thoughts and send them out into the world.
I suppose that would be a secondary purpose: for you to read and respond. This is something that I like very much about blogs. They are never one-sided. It is not me simply throwing my ideas at you, but rather hoping that my ideas may stir something in you that can become conversation.
